Sungate Energy Solutions has the same basic goals as the California Energy Commission. Let’s talk about the California Energy Commission and what the organization represents. While California is a world leader in the area of environmental or green issues, its’ citizens are also is aware of the challenges facing the state. This commission was created by the people and has a dedicated staff of employees that want to serve the people by turning challenges into opportunities. They work for the rights of all Californians to have energy choices that are helpful to the environment, are affordable to its citizens, and are reliable and cost effective. The CEC is mandated by several highly effective and important pieces of legislation that help to set the energy standards for Californians.
The first piece of legislation is the California Global Warming Solutions Act that aggressively backs an 11% reduction on gas emissions to be met by 2020. It also reaches for a reduction of emissions from the state’s greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation.
The second piece of legislation is referred to as the Alternative and Renewable Fuel and Technology Program. This program is for the purpose of increasing the use of alternative and renewable fuels and is funded by 100 million dollars a year so that Californians can incentivise public agencies and private businesses to come up with alternative fuels especially regarding transportation.
Then in April 2011, Senate Bill 2X was signed into law and is seen as this country’s most aggressive clean energy standard. The goal of this bill is to work towards renewable energy as not just the choice but the true measurement by which we can all breathe cleaner air, drink cleaner water and become more energy self-reliant.
